O ano está quase no fim; nesse
período eu gosto de fazer o que acho que muita gente (inclusive você, não?)
também gosta de fazer nessa época: um balanço geral do que foi 2013.
Não foi um ano fácil, mas também não
foi dos mais difíceis. Alguns tropeços aqui, alguns tombos ali, mas várias
oportunidades de me levantar e seguir em frente. Mas, mais do que os anos
anteriores, esse foi crucial, quase um divisor de águas pra mim. Foi o ano em
que eu finalmente me abri pra várias coisas e gostos que eu há muito havia
escondido.
Cheguei em Londres em 2011, mas
finquei meu pé na terra e ergui minha casa de vez esse ano. Ao me abrir pras
vontades e olhares que não consegui deixar fluir descobri uma nova Londres e me
vi abrindo a mala que veio do Brasil em 2011. Então me perguntei ‘o que eu
trouxe na mala?’. O que veio comigo e não vai embora? O que eu quero que fique
e o que eu quero que vá?
Bom, o Gato chegou esse ano (depois
de dois anos em outro formato, verdade) e eu não quero que ele vá embora nunca
mais!

The year’s almost gone (thank goodness); at
this time of the year I like to do something I’m pretty sure many people (you
included, right?) also do: 2013 year in review.
It wasn’t an easy-breeze year, but it wasn’t a
toughest one too. Some stumbles, some falls, but a lot of opportunities to
stand up and move on. Yet more than any of the previous years (seriously), this
one was almost a kind of watershed in my life. This was the year I finally
opened up my eyes to many things I had been hiding behind ‘excuses’ and ‘more
important goals’ for so long.
I arrived in London in 2011, but I only managed
to stick my feet on the ground and actually feel at home this year. Once I
opened up my eyes I felt like a new London was unveiled right in front of me
and I saw myself unpacking my 2011 bags for the second time. Then I caught
myself wondering ‘what’s in my luggage?’. What did I bring with me that I still
want to keep? What do I want to let go?
Well, after two years in another format, my
blog had finally materialised and I do not want to let it go!
